Upon graduating from Kilgore College, Lauren attended the University of Texas at Austin where she received a BA in History and a Minor in Dance.   She was a part of the UT Dance team and was awarded Best Choreography for 2004.  Lauren directed the Liberty Hill High School drill team from 2004-2006.

She has taught at conventions including Raising the Barr, Ovation Dance, LISD summer intensives, and In the Mix.  In 2006, she took on a new opportunity to work at Leander High School.  There, she directed the White Diamonds from 2006-2008.  She has set choreography for drill/dance teams, studios, and has choreographed and performed for the hit television series Friday Night Lights.  Lauren began teaching at an Austin area studio in 2009, where she continued to choreograph award-winning pieces for their company and became the Assistant Director in 2012.

Lauren started her own dance company LC Productions Live to Create in 2012. She continues to work independently with school districts and studios all over Texas teaching dance classes, intensives, master classes, choreography, and judging competitions and tryouts. Lauren has been a workshop presenter at Texas Dance Educator Association TDEA. Each year she continues to further her dance education by attending conventions and summer classes at the EDGE PAC, LA. She is a member of Third Coast Contemporary adult dance company.  Lauren is a co-founder of Muv Dance & Fitness and is one of their lead instructors where she is happy and enthusiastic to share her knowledge and love for dance.
